This table lists two maximum cable lengths:

Maximum cable length for a non-inverted clock. If your cable lengths exceed
this length and you have a CLE-NRZ, consider inverting the transmit clock.

Absolute maximum cable length. If your cable lengths must exceed the
absolute cable length, contact Cylink Tech support for assistance.
|
|
Same - appears in the Absolute Maximum Length column for low data rates
which do not benefit from inverting the clock. Therefore, the absolute maximum cable length
for these low data rates is the same as the maximum length for non-inverted clocks.
|
|
Not recommended - applies to the highest data rates and implies that the
data rate is so high that an inverted clock is not recommended for NRZ-CLEs no matter how long
the cable is. With such high data rates the other equipment, DTE or CSU/DSU, may automatically
invert the clock. Use caution to prevent inverting the clock twice.
